artsy being
appreciating the arts in all aspects...tat's wat i'd been doing for the past week...sounds refreshing huh? since i'm dedicating my upcoming yrs to the wonders of science(again! hehez)...it's impt tat i still hold onto my interest in arts...so i wanna be a 'balanced' person...wahahaz...basically...went on an 'educational' trip to the asian civilisation museum with hui & simin last tues...kinda looking forward to it as it'd been million light yrs since i stepped into a museum...thank god to the excursions tat schs had been organising...or else i wld be still an ignorant person...hahaz...i shld say it was a nice experience...cos i didnt went there as role of a student...but a visitor...so we walked around on our own pace...admiring & appreciating the sculptures/cultures/history...& it's no joke tat u can practically spend ur whole day in a museum...so much to see & learn...we also encountered pri sch kids in the museum...probably it was their excursion...wah...memories...hehez...our fruitful trip then ended with a nice dinner at new york new york & shopping at suntec... :)
went to unleash my singing ability last thurs also...hahaz...first time singing outing with a big grp which is my og-gurgle....it's really lucky to find frens who luv singing like i do...hahaz...though it wasnt full attendance but we all still had fun...thanx to them...i found a new & cheap place to sing!!!! definitely cheaper than kbox...songs are rather updated...free flow of drinks...a free bowl of shark's fin soup!?!...juz mere $10 NETT for 2pm-7pm slot...it's a ktv located in chinatown...walkable distance from the mrt...so who noes...i may patronise the place often...hahaz...so all of us sang chinese pop songs...selected songs up to 13-14 pages full...& took loads of pics...it was a cool experience indeed...after tat...we had our dinner at nearby maxwell hawker...yummy yummy porridge & tofu specialty...hehez...
one of the many photos taken...credits to cindy-my senior cum the photographer...hehez...helped out sci rag last fri as promised...hehez...i realised i need to take 2 hrs to reach sch in cases when i missed my buses & trains...ahhh...why i live so far from sch? ok...i shld live in a hall right? but my mum dun really support tis idea...& i can find no one to share a double room with me...no wonderful jc cca record to be given a room...too lazy to be fully independent...ok lots of reasons to give...hahaz...so i juz have to find a shorter route or to pass the time...or ultimately to learn driving?!? back to rag...didnt do marche tis time...but i learnt how to make a craft using juz aluminium cans...yesh! a peacock! so proud of myself when i did my first recycled material-based peacock...though it looked a bit weird...my another successful art piece since folding cranes & stars...hehez...it's always gd to learn new stuff...so gonna go help rag tis week again!
been busy watching anime these few days...so if u catch me msn online...at the busy status...i'm either blogging or engrossing in my shows...hahaz...i juz finished watching a nice anime 'Harukanaru Toki no Nakade Hachiyosho'...if u're a fushigi yuugi fan...u can watch tis! it's somehow similar to fushigi yuugi where there's a girl went back to ancient times...holding power of a dragon priestess & got 8 protectors (or called 'hachiyos')...but it was a shorter anime (26 epi) with not much luv element (surprisingly...) and not much comedy either...but overall...it had a good plot, nice opening/ending songs & in-depth stories of the 8 protectors...actually...i wanted to start watching other jdorama or taiwan idol dramas...but in the end...got addicted to anime first...hehez...now currently watching 'Saiunkoku Monogatari'...it's also a historical setting based anime (dunno but i like tis kind of anime...hehez...)...very interesting anime abt imperial household & system...read more on wikipedia if ya interested...hehez...
hmmm...holidays shld be the time where we can organise & attend gatherings...but sadly...didnt get to do either one...hehez... i understand cos organising is really difficult...choosing a venue & time where all ppl can make it or most imptly...the no. of ppl coming is the question...so i really give up on tat...i rather attend gatherings to show my appreciation & support to the organiser...hehez...but probably all of us are busy with our own stuff tat we gradually fail to keep in touch or to find time planning...nevertheless...i'm glad to meet up with hui & simin last tues...had a nice phone chat with huimin...and upcoming activities with ong & ping...so maybe i shld take initiative to meet up other frens in small grps...tat's much easier i guess...hey hey pplz...dun forget me kies...inform me if there's any gatherings hor...pri/sec/jc/cca...miss me? can call me! bored to tears? date me out! need someone to talk? sms me! wanna noe how i am? hehez...can read my blog & tag! juz wanna be part of ur life juz like u've been part of mine! :P

enjoy enjoy
had hell of fun during last & tis week...attended gurgle outing...joined & helped out in sci rag...met up with my jie meiz...hohohoz...tat's really life of a jc graduate...almost 8 mths of enjoyment (not including wrk...though can be fun sometimes...hehez)...but sch's gonna start real soon...a new life & environment & a bunch of new frens...recalling back to last last thurs & fri...i went for nus sci rag camp & hang out with my og mates...2 days camp of rag introduction...including some mild games tat involved 4 sections-finance/costume making/float making/dance...i totally sux at sewing...omg...hahaz...then there were other fun games...(i realised camps really luv water bombs war...hahaz...but it was really fun!!! getting all wet & stuff...) we also had a nice western dinner with many many trays of fruits as 'punishment' during the games...as usual...our og (proudly known as gurgle..) were practically in our own world...hahaz...but our attendance was really gd...later tat night...we helped doing the rag float...doing paper marche...it's really my forte during sec sch time...i like to cut magazines & do 2D versions...but tis time is 3D...so kinda hard...tiring & needs concentration...hahaz..lastly...i didnt sleep the whole night cos i went to play interesting card games with the guys instead...hehez...
then it was the following sat where we had our first og outing at chomp chomp...planning to had a feast there but alas...the place was damn crowded (expected lahz...it's weekend & cos it's also famous for hawker delicious food...) so we bought packed food & had 'picnic' within the hdb estates area located far away...hahaz...it was a scene of yummy food ranging from sambal stingray to egg beancurd...of cos...all of us (seniors & freshies...) chatted and laughed our way thru the night...wahahaz...
last wed was a blast too...cos it's stayover for ong & ping at my house after a long time liaoz...hahaz...i woke up early in the morning...met up with ong then ping...heading our way to east coast to spend a healthy morning doing some form of exercise...tat's really NOT my kind of thing...cos we were supposed to go cycling...i dread 2 wheels bicycle cos i dun like it...it dun like me either...hahaz...ok lahz...i dun noe how to cycle...laugh all u wan...i find it quite embarrassing since i'm already 18 yrs old reaching 19...dun even noe how to ride a bicycle...(a kid can ride better than me lahz!)...really wanna thank ong & ping sacrificing their 1hr in teaching me...though i managed to ride after 1 & half hr later...it's an accomplishment for me...(sobs...touching moment...hahaz...) haiz...gotten some bruises on my legs & probably scared some of the ppl there (my riding skills are damn terrifying...) but i shld yell a yeah for myself...
following up...we had katong laksa after tat (so much for a workout...hahaz...)really missed those sec sch days...since our sch was rather near...memories juz flood back...esp when we reached my house...listened to part of ong's friendship declaration cd...specially made for me (thanx my dear maid aka ong)...saw the lake odyssey vcd where we performed in co...had dinner & nice chat with my mum?!?!...hahaz...watched tv & yak again till late night...hahaz...u noe...gal talk juz rox...too bad dor wasnt wif us...missed her lots...it wld be better if she's around...i'm also curious abt ping's sms prince...wahahahz...
next afternoon...we headed to amk hub for mos burger...yummy yummy...then we saw ping's mum at ntuc...after we jalan jalan around...ong & i decided to go northpt to source for cheap manga while ping went home to rest...hahaz...kinda introduced northpt to ong since she seldom shops there...while i knew tat place quite well since there's the area where i grew up...our last stop was popular as ong wanna get prepared for her first tuition...omg...pri sch stuff are not tat simple anymore...yup yup...going to meet the gals again for swimming & kboxing...
last fri...i got some free time to help rag...so i did paper marche again from late morning till night...hehez...tired but fun cos some of my og mates & seniors were there...there'll always be laughter when they are around...while i juz listen & laugh...thought i was funny...but they were even better...esp when xinyi & ck squabble...weiren getting self-obsessed? gim sen & his jokes? oh ya...i realised the sci canteen food was quite nice & cheap...hahaz...
hehez...seems to be typing out all my outings...but tat's not it...more to come cos i got many activities for the upcoming week...hahaz...my pocket gonna get burnt...but the ppl are worth it... :)
haiz...made a self-realisation abt myself...i need to learn something to upgrade myself...there's loads of things i wanna learn but juz tat i cnt find the drive to do it somehow...i spent my relaxing 2 mths since wrk ended doing wat i like (watching drama/anime & reading manga)...but i failed to master a new skill which was quite pitiful...but it's ok...it's not too late...hehez...wanna learn cross-stitch (to be more like a gal...) & jap lang...gonna take driving theory test...take up a sport in uni...hahaz...many many things...i muz jia you liaoz...support me arh!!!

freshman alert
SCAMPSATION...theme for nus sci fac freshman orientation camp 07...it'd been a few days since i'm back from this rather fun-filled 5 days camp...now i'm feeling like a freshman...wahahaz...been a senior in pri/sec/jc...so back to square 1 in becoming a newbie in a whole new environment...probably the last time also...cos now we're known as tertiary students (aka old students lahz...hahaz!) thought i wld be going thru the jc orientation kind of stuff...but it's better than i expected...so bravo! yesh...i made friends...=) (cos i really dread the process of making frens...esp as we grow older...things get tough...)basically...gonna yak abt wat happened throughout these 5 days...dun worry...it wont bore u...i'll keep it short & sweet... :)
Day 1...
dragged my heavy bags to nus sci fac (i took public transport alone ok!)...got registered and managed to make some friends on the spot...then it's the usual ice breakers & got to know more abt my OG mates & OGLs (nice seniors...very impt...) oh ya...am i lucky or wat...priscilla (cchms 2gr reunites!) was in the same OG as me! hahaz...got companion! also met nyjc seniors! then we also had station games...where we got dirty, tired & super soaked...tat's actually when the OG spirit was formed...teamwork mahz...so we spent our night in hall...i also like the videos tat the seniors made for the freshman...very hilarious indeed...not forgetting...there's also Secret Pal interaction...actually something like angel mortal but in this case we were blindfolded...
Day 2...
hmm...woke up early in the morning...we learnt nus sci fac mass dance (very cool! like it!)...sci fac cheers (very enthu indeed...)...we also went for a treasure hunt game around nus...oh man...nus is really huge...get really tired jus walking from one fac to another...but it was fun lahz...hehez...wat i enjoyed the most shld be the appreciation night...we got to view horror films in the LT...in preparation for fright nite...hahaz...further details shall not be disclosed...wahahahz...(ask me for details bahz...) boo...
Day 3...
it's amazing race singapore style...OGs will complete tasks & find our way around s'pore...final stop was at sentosa...it's expected cos we're supposed to spend a night there at the chalet...when there's free time...my OG wld sit together and play grp games...later...the senior guys became victims of the pool...one by one being thrown into the pool...so pitiful yet so funny...however...in the end...all of us (the gals) jumped into the pool willingly cos we wldnt wanna be thrown...so i got wet again...oh ya...second SP interaction...
Day 4...
the many highlights for the day...still in sentosa...we began with beach games...we got sand & wet again as usual...expect waterbombs, seawater, paint & many other stuff...it's something like the station games but more tiring cos the weather was damn hot...and my OG broke record for losing in every single game...oh ya...we also had to cheer, learn cheers...luckily i still got my voice till now...hahaz...after the games...we had to prepare for the SP dinner at Underwater World where we finally get to meet who's the person we'd been talking to for the past 2 times...everyone got dressed up...pretty gals & shuai ge (yes...sci fac lehz...) everywhere...i met my SP (and i guessed it correctly...hahaz...)..he's a senior and a nice guy...so all the paired up couples (guy-gal or gal-gal...not enough guys...hahaz...) were supposed to enjoy the buffet dinner & scenery in underwater world...it's a wonderful experience though it's a bit crowded...hahaz...next highlight is going clubbing...my first time so i wld say it's not bad...probably becos we were all students...so 'nothing much' happened...i drank some alcohol & danced under disco light...very cool indeed...had supper with my OG at lao pa sat later before heading back to sch...
Day 5...
end of scamp...(did i mention the scamp tees are quite nice...hehez...) i hardly cld sleep in the LT...so basically wat i miss most from this camp is sleep...everyday practically sleeping at average 3am...hahaz...before break camp...there was prize presentation (my OG went home empty-handed but i shld say we're the most quiet OG...hahaz...) & photo-taking...i also had lunch with my OG at holland village (my 1st time there!!!) after break camp...it was a nice 5 day camp...knowing new frens & developing a sense of belonging to the fac...i had to admit i wasn't very enthu cos i'm shy lahz...hehez...but deep down...i did have fun...neva regret joining...:P so better go join foc!!
went for medical checkup ytd with my mum in nus...so long neva had a checkup...i think since sec sch? hehez...the normal height & weight...yikes...i'm not at my most slim state...but i grew taller...wahahaz...my eyesight was failing...haiz...too much tv & com...urine test/blood pressure normal...consultation & x-ray shld be okay...phew...i'm done with it...
my ex company contacted me a few days ago...wondering if i wanna temp for 2 weeks tis month...to earn extra cash...i accepted the offer but in the end...they changed their mind cos it's not worth for them to go thru agent to hire me for such a short period of time...so i got declined...i was super relieved (actually got second thoughts to reject liaoz...)...cos i thought my holiday wld be gone again...hahaz...so i'm super free again...yeah yeah...i think i better use this time to enjoy & prepare for sch bah....
going for another short 2 day camp tml...hope to sustain new formed friendships & make new ones! to do a part for my fac...cos it's my choice...hehez...see ya guys around...thanx for reading my long entry...:P
